Roberto Perrina Returns to Victory Lane at Ferrari Challenge North America

Roberto Perrina delivered a commanding performance at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, securing his first Ferrari Challenge North America victory in nearly two years during Race 2 of the 2026 championship weekend.

The sunny California afternoon provided the perfect backdrop as Ferrari Challenge North America celebrated ten years of competition at the iconic Laguna Seca circuit. Perrina, representing Ferrari of Seattle, made an excellent start from the front rows and quickly overtook pole-sitter Johnny Kaminskey (Ferrari of Long Island). From that moment on, the experienced driver controlled the race and never relinquished the lead.

The victory marks Perrina’s first win since Sonoma Raceway during the second half of the 2024 season and his fourth podium finish of the 2026 campaign. Despite finishing second, Kaminskey maintained his lead in the Trofeo Pirelli championship standings, while George Grinzewitsch III (Ferrari of San Francisco) completed the podium in third place.

Kevin Gutierrez Scores First Trofeo Pirelli Am Victory of 2026

In the Trofeo Pirelli Am category, Kevin Gutierrez (Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale) earned his first victory of the season. The result confirms his steady climb up the championship standings following multiple podium finishes earlier in the year.

Michael Porter (Ferrari of Seattle) secured second place, adding another podium to his growing collection after strong performances at Sebring and Laguna Seca. Gregory Hopkins (Foreign Cars Italia) celebrated his first podium appearance of the 2026 season by finishing third.

Charlie Menard Dominates Coppa Shell at Laguna Seca

The Coppa Shell category once again belonged to Charlie Menard (Twin Cities Performance), who left Laguna Seca with two victories after winning Sunday’s race and being awarded the win from Saturday’s event as well.

Menard, the current championship leader, led all but one lap throughout the weekend and collected his third and fourth victories of the season. A brief wheel-to-wheel battle temporarily cost him the lead, but the final classification restored him to the top position after the checkered flag.

Blake Rosser (Ferrari of San Diego) finished second, while Chuck Whittall (Ferrari of Central Florida) matched his best result of the year with a third-place finish.

Tim Duit Completes Coppa Shell Am Weekend Sweep

In Coppa Shell Am, Tim Duit (Ferrari Dallas) completed a perfect weekend by taking his second consecutive victory at Laguna Seca. Duit seized the lead early in the 30-minute race and crossed the finish line more than 16 seconds ahead of the competition.

Pole-sitter Fabian Sperman (The Collection) finished second, strengthening his position in the championship standings, while Jamie Garrett (Ferrari of Naples) secured another podium with a third-place finish.

Ferrari Challenge North America Heads to Sonoma Raceway

Following the successful Laguna Seca event, the Ferrari Challenge North America 2026 championship remains on the West Coast for its penultimate round. Sonoma Raceway will host the next double-header event from July 22–26, 2026.

The North American season finale is scheduled for Road America from September 9–13, before drivers and teams head to Spain for the Ferrari Finali Mondiali 2026 at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in late November.
